The Spiral Shredder for Soft Materials is a highly efficient cutting solution designed specifically for flexible solid waste.
With its low-speed, high-torque spiral blade design, this machine excels at shredding fibrous, fabric-based, tough, and easily entangled materials. It is ideal for processing a wide variety of soft waste, including used clothing, woven bulk bags, agricultural film, PP straps, pet pads, and various flexible plastic packaging materials. The spiral design ensures continuous feeding and self-discharging operation. This shredder combines crushing and conveying, allowing efficient size reduction with minimal clogging and smooth material flow.

MAIN COMPONENTS
BLADE - The heart of the spiral shredder. Manufactured from high-strength wear-resistant alloy steel, its spiral-arranged hooked blades continuously grip, pull, shear, and shred soft, bulky materials. This design ensures smooth feeding, high torque cutting, reduced vibration, longer service life, and consistent output size, making it ideal for textiles, plastic films, woven bags, fishing nets, carpets, and other flexible recyclable materials.

MOTOR REDUCER - The power transmission unit of the spiral shredder. It reduces the electric motor's high rotational speed while multiplying torque to deliver powerful, low-speed rotation to the spiral cutter roller. This ensures stable operation, efficient shredding, reduced energy consumption, and long-term reliability when processing textiles, plastic films, woven bags, fishing nets, carpets, and other bulky recyclable materials.

HIGH TORQUE ROTORS - Engineered from high-strength alloy steel, the high-torque rotors serve as the primary drive shafts of the spiral shredder. They transmit powerful, low-speed rotational force from the gearbox to the spiral cutter blades, enabling efficient gripping, feeding, and shredding of bulky, flexible materials. Their robust construction ensures stable performance, reduced vibration, long service life, and reliable operation in demanding industrial recycling applications.

PLC CONTROL - The intelligent control center of the spiral shredder. Equipped with a PLC and user-friendly touch-screen HMI, it automates machine operation, monitors system performance in real time, and coordinates the motor, conveyor, and auxiliary equipment. Advanced safety features, including overload protection, fault alarms, and emergency stop functions, ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operation while maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.

EQUIPMENT STRUCTURE

How It Works:
Material is fed into the inlet hopper, where it is engaged by spiral-shaped cutters or screw rotors that rotate at low speed but high torque. As the waste moves forward along the spiral path, it is sheared, torn, and compressed between the rotating spirals and stationary blades or casing walls. The shredded material is then discharged at the outlet, ready for further processing such as fermentation, composting, or recycling.
